eGain Infrastructure Engineer

Full Time • Hybrid - US

Advance your career on a project that supports an enterprise-class U.S. Federal Agency in Washington, DC.  Wisemen Multimedia’s eGain Infrastructure Team is looking for an experienced, resourceful, and innovative cloud network and infrastructure engineer. This is a full-time, mostly remote (onsite up to two days per pay period), contract position (minimum of 40 hours weekly). 
 
About the Job:
We are seeking a knowledgeable IT Consultant to join our team. As an IT Consultant, you will discover our customers’ business objectives and provide strategic advice on how they can best use eGain to achieve their goals. This role is a great opportunity for a seasoned infrastructure engineer or network engineer who is passionate about virtual networking in a large, distributed cloud-focused environment to utilize their knowledge of systems engineering and networking technologies.  You will provide technical training and help our clients learn how to best integrate their technology systems. The ideal candidate has strong technical skills, excellent customer service, and communication skills. 

Responsibilities 
  • Support the needs of the client and achieve their business objectives,
  • Develop strategies for using technology to achieve their business goals,
  • Deploy, configure, maintain, and monitor eGain and Cloud network infrastructure,
  • Solid understanding of firewalls, routers, NAT gateways, VPN, proxies, load balancers, and other boundary security devices,
  • AWS VPC, VPC gateway, transit gateways, and ELB,
  • Azure VNET, Security groups, and ExpressRoute,
  • Deploy, configure, maintain, and monitor servers on Windows and Linux platforms,
  • Hypervisor VM administration (Hyper-V and/or VMWare),
  • Infrastructure based on AWS and Microsoft Azure platforms,
  • Optimize reliability, performance, supportability, and security of infrastructure,
  • Provide technical inputs in the design and review of architecture, policies, and procedures to ensure security, reliability, availability, performance, and backup and disaster recovery of infrastructure,
  • Create and document network architecture and design decisions,
  • Automate routine tasks for deployment, configuration, and monitoring for all of the above,
  • Work with a cross-geography team on network and Infrastructure related tasks,
  • Collaborate with in-house staff to manage IT systems,
  • Train staff on new and existing technologies,
  • Design and implement IT systems and networks.
Qualifications
  • A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, 
  • Previous experience as an IT Consultant,
  • Previous experience in project management,
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills,
  • Ability to work well as part of a team,
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills,

Compensación: $125,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
